The 10,000 character limit for NotebookLM personas is actually useful. Some of the internal tools we've built for infra monitoring, even with fine-tuned models, often need really specific instructions to avoid hallucinating metrics or misinterpreting log data. Having more space to define not just the output format but also the reasoning process I expect the AI to follow would be good. Especially for complex systems analysis, getting the AI to adopt a particular diagnostic flow, almost like a junior engineer, could save a lot of prompt engineering iterations. Our current setup needs a lot of pre-processing to constrain the context. This would let us bake more of that into the persona itself.
