hey everyone, i'm trying to wrap my head around this Duke project by Sinnott-Armstrong. for us learning ML here in vietnam, it's super interesting to see how they're trying to predict human moral judgments. but i'm wondering, how do they plan to get the data for something like "business conflicts" or "medical ethics" that's universal enough? given the cultural nuances we have here, a "moral judgment" in one place might be totally different in another. does the project account for that kind of regional variation or is it focusing on a more general, perhaps Western, ethical framework? just curious how that translates to real-world applications beyond the US.

This Duke project is interesting, trying to predict human moral judgments. But Chinese models like Qwen and DeepSeek are already exploring value alignment in different ways, not just prediction. The technical challenges, especially with data bias, are going to be immense for any such system.
