the Air Canada chatbot "fiasco" is interesting but I wonder how much of that was actually the model versus the integration layer. like, was there a proper chain of custody for the retrieved information from their internal KB to the LLM's prompt? sometimes these systems pull data strings directly, and if the source material isn't precise or has outdated policies, the LLM will just parrot it. it's not always the AI "going wrong" as much as the data pipeline setup being incomplete. need to see the actual API calls and how the context was built.
